Guidelines

1. Prepare Handles: Before class, tape a large craft stick firmly to the back of each paper plate or cardboard shield to act as a handle.

2. Introduce the Verse: Read the Armor of God scripture passage to the children.

3. Decorate: Hand out the shields and styling materials. Instruct the kids to design a "Shield of Faith."

4. Personalize by Age: Encourage older kids to write out a specific Bible verse or defensive word (e.g., "Faith," "Truth") on the front, while assisting younger kids with placing foam stickers and coloring.

5. Show and Share: Have the children stand up together, hold up their shields, and recite a summary verse as a group.
