Guidelines

1.Give each participant a Bible verse.

2.Ask them to read and understand the verse carefully.

3.Have them rewrite the verse by replacing general words with their own name, situation, or personal perspective.

4.Encourage them to keep the original meaning of the verse while making it personal.

5.Give everyone 5–10 minutes to complete their personalized verse.

6.Participants may share their rewritten verse with the group if they are comfortable.

7.End with a short reflection about how personalizing the verse helped them understand its message.
